New Year Paid Holiday 2023

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation recently declared New Year’s Day an official paid holiday for both public and private sector workers in the UAE. This is a welcome move for employees in the country, particularly in Dubai, as it marks the first time in history that the holiday has been included in the official list.

The decision is expected to have a positive impact on the economy and businesses, as it will result in increased productivity and motivation among workers. According to the Ministry, the decision to include New Year’s Day in the official holiday list was taken in view of the importance of the holiday and its significance in strengthening the ties between members of society.

The Ministry has also taken steps to ensure that the holiday is celebrated in a safe and responsible manner. It has issued a set of guidelines for employers to ensure that the holiday is used to its full potential.
